QFES - Queensland Fire & Emergency Services: Workshop No. 2, April 2023

Zeke Shaw and the ZSIC team are very grateful to Clinton Neuman of Rural Fire Services, QFES (Queensland Fire & Emergency Services) for his role in making this, our second Cultural Awareness Training (CAT) with QFES, possible, and we look forward to delivering on a third workshop soon.

The opportunity of ZSIC delivering another workshop for the team at QFES came about due to Clinton’s vision for making a positive difference for organisations such as QFES learning more on Cultural Awareness, and integrating the skills and knowledge that Zeke Shaw delivers on.

Excellent and outstanding workshop. Has given me a greater understanding of the history and what happened to the First Nations people. Made the learning enjoyable and very interactive. Can’t recommend this training enough. Thankyou Zeke and Jamie for sharing this day with us.

Zeke delivers the Cultural Awareness training in such a way that it takes us on a journey of understanding, arming participants with the knowledge to go forward as leaders within their organisation and impart knowledge back within their own organisations. Extremely valuable and an eye-opening experience.

Absolutely fantastic cultural awareness training session. Through my years of experience with this form of training, I found Zeke and Jamie to be not only engaging, but brutally honest and to the point. This was refreshing and only value added to this extremely important message.

Very well presented, from a non-biased neutral prospective. The team was very engaging and took the participants along on a journey of discovery through a range of interactions. Highly recommended.

I have attended many training sessions on this topic over the past 30 years and this was the most engaging and interactive incorporating a fresh unique way of presenting the material and stimulation of thought. Well done Zeke and Jamie.

I found this training so beneficial and rewarding . It has opened my eyes to how the aboriginal people feel and endured throughout the generations. I would thoroughly recommend to any organisation or individual to attend.

Fantastic day, the course provided a broader perspective on cultural awareness and the history of the traditional owners of the country we live. The activities brought home the reality of what people went through and how it can affect for generations. Great job!
